Tech Wash is a cleaner built for waterproof fabrics. Ordinary detergent leaves a water-absorbent film that masks the water repellency, so a coat that seems to be leaking is often just overdue a proper clean. TX.Direct is a wash-in reproofer that adds the water repellency back and revives breathability, with no tumble drying needed.
Use them together when water stops beading on your coat: one 30°C wash with each, back to back without drying in between, then air dry. Rain rolls off again. Both work by hand wash too.
PFAS free, non-flammable, and supplied in 100% recycled bottles by Nikwax, an employee owned British company. Also suits your Reinpants, Reingloves and other breathable waterproof kit.
How to use
Before you start. Shake each bottle, and clear any detergent build-up out of the machine's drawer. No ordinary detergent in either wash.
Step 1, clean. Up to two garments on a 30°C synthetic cycle with a slow spin, using Tech Wash. 150ml in hard water areas, 100ml in soft.
Step 2, reproof. Do not dry in between. Run the clean, wet garments straight through again with TX.Direct, 100ml per garment, same 30°C cycle.
Step 3, air dry. No tumble drying needed. Check the beading next time it rains.
Both work by hand wash too. Always follow the care label inside your coat.
When to reproof
Watch the surface of your coat in the rain. When water stops beading and rolling off, and starts to darken or soak into the outer fabric, it is time.
If the coat is fairly new, a clean with Tech Wash on its own can revive the water repellency, because a leaking coat is often just a dirty one. Once it has been properly worn in, follow the clean with TX.Direct to add the repellency back.

Delivery. Free UK delivery on orders over £50, sent with DPD. Order before 2pm Monday to Friday and it leaves us the same day. Weekend orders are dispatched on Monday.
UK: next working day. EU: 5 to 7 days. USA: 7 to 10 days.
Returns. If it is not right, send it back within 30 days, unused. Return postage is paid by you.

How it works
Clean

Reproof
Straight back in while still wet, this time with TX.Direct. It bonds water repellency to the fibres in the machine. No spray bottles, no tumble dryer.
Water beads again
Air dry and check the surface. Rain should bead and roll off the shell like the day the coat arrived.

When the outer soaks up water instead of shedding it, the coat turns heavy and clammy from the inside even though no rain is getting through. One clean and one reproof wash brings the beading back.
